CUMBERLAND FAMILY MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIP:
This community scholarship is a $1,000.00 scholarship opportunity open to graduating seniors planning to attend a post-secondary school and major in a health-related field of study. It is sponsored by Womens Care of Lake Cumberland on behalf of CFMC INC.

 

Completed applications must be returned to your high school guidance office by April 9th, 2018.

I just wanted you to be aware of the CEDIK Scholarship. This is for any Senior student interested in a health career. The only counties that are not an ARC approved county is Mercer and Boyle. The Iota Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is sponsoring an academic scholarship in the amount of $350, which will be presented to an outstanding female senior whose college major is education and who plans to become a teacher.

 

The Scholarship Committee will select the best qualified student from the applicants of the following counties:  Adair, Casey, Clinton, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, and Wayne.

 

The recipient of the scholarship will be recognized at the May 12, 2018 Delta Kappa Gamma meeting to be held in Monticello, Kentucky.

For the fifth year Whitaker Bank, as part of its continuing title sponsorship of the Boys’ Sweet 16®, and the KHSAA will be presenting four one-time $1,500 scholarships. The scholarships are open to high school seniors that participate in KHSAA sanctioned sports and sport-activities.

 

Deadline for the information to be received by the KHSAA is Feb. 28. There is no limit to the number of applicants from a school.

 

Winners will be recognized during the 2018 Whitaker Bank/KHSAA Boys’ State Basketball Tournament, March 14-18 in Lexington.

Campbellsville University

George & Joan White Howell Environmental Education Scholarship Application

The George and Joan White Howell Environmental Education Scholarship is a $1,00.00 science scholarship, administered through the Lake Area Foundation, available to a freshman entering Campbellsville University. Another $1,000 is available annually to the same freshman student pursuing a science degree whos is willing to help with research at Clay Hill Memorial Forest for a minimum of 70 hours per semester during the academic year. To be eligible for this scholarship:
1. Eligible for and receiving CU Scholarship
2. Pursuing Science Degree
3. High School GPA 3.5 and maintain CU GPA 3.0
4. ACT score of 24 or above pm the science portion of the exam
5. All students applying shall submit an essay of not less than 200 words describing interest in the environment and how they hope to utilize their degree to promote Earth stewardship.
