Senior Information

wanted to send a quick message about the Kentucky Education Experience (KEE) Program, which is being held on Transylvania's campus this summer, June 24-27. The targeted student population is rising high school seniors (although we will consider rising juniors); and there is no GPA or test score requirement.  Students will stay on Transy's campus for 3 1/2 days and participate in a variety of workshops and sessions including:

  • A case study on the admissions process
  • Mock classroom experiences
  • Essay writing
  • How to look for scholarships
  • Mock scholarship interviews
  • College fair
  • Panel of current college students

There is also a talent show, time for the students to have fun and enjoy being on a college campus, time in our recreational facilities and opportunities to explore downtown Lexington.

Applications are due by June 1 and require a copy of the student's high school transcripts and one (1) recommendation to accompany the application. The fee is $50, but this will be returned to the student upon completion of the program.  (Ask me about a fee waiver for the student if that is needed.) All meals and residence hall facilities will be provided by Transylvania University.
